The wiring diagram is from the Owners manual for the 1973 T65 Triumph engined BSA badged 650 referred to as the T65 Thunderbolt.

Further reading of that book reveals that the T65 had a 3 position toggle switch on the headlamp shell and  simple on/off ignition swtch on the left headlamp mount.

Photo is from the 1973 parts book.

Thanks Julian,
I have to admit I have never studied the T65 spec as just thought of it as a Triumph. Also, to my shame, I never read the guff on that in detail probably for the same reason, or being close to the end of the book, fatigue had set in! ;D

Looks like Crofty has a T65 which must be quite rare!

Hi, this is the standard wiring diagram I found. From someone on here, actually.

This is what I cobbled together.  :)

Nice one Crofty. Got my four position genuine Lucas ignition switch today, the fun begins. Still curious about that black Lucas turn switch for the lights, cannot find it on the diagrams. 19-1095 ?

19-1095 or Lucas switch 31276 as shown below was used for OIF B25/B50's.

It is listed on Dragonfly 1971 A65 electrical section ?

As far as I can see, this light switch was used on most of the OIF singles and twins and is shown both in the parts books and the wiring diagrams for 1971 and 1972. It simply switches from dipped to the main beam.

Didn't you mean to say it switches from Pilot to Headlight?

AWJDThumper

Yes, you are right - I was mis-interpreting the owners handbook ::)

Editor, that makes a lot of sense.
