Hello .
I have recently got my  late 68/69 Victor Special on the road .
As a default l set the tyre pressure s to 22 front and 25 rear  simply because that's  what l recall using for the C15 and two B40s l've previously owned . I haven't done any hooligan riding as l'm running-in (and don't  intend to as l'm a lot more sensible than l was when l was younger🙂) and the handling seems fine.
A bit of googling recommends higher pressures due to modern tyre material though.
Can anyone with a bit more up to date first hand experience tell me what they would recommend please ?
  Kev🙂

I think it all depends upon what tyres you are using, and what type of roads or tracks you ride.
For instance if you have 400x18 trials tyres, then 4 to 8 psi is the norm.  Just increase from there, as you ride more civilised roads and tyres.

Thanks for that sci-fi. I should probably have said that it has road tyres - the Servis tyres it came with .👍

Hi,

Depending on your weight the pressures you are using are about right.  Although some may say that modern tyres need higher pressures, I have found that following the guidance in the BSA handbook works well.

Dave.

Thank you Dave .  Yesterday evening l experimented with pressures closer to modern recommendations . 20 minutes of country lane driving had me heading home to let some air out!
