Hi again everyone I have a 1958 DBD34 in Clubman's trim which I am having a tidy up on and have found that my brake light switch is faulty and it is also a previous owners aftermarket lash up I would like to replace original if available or at least similar to correct would one of you be prepared to post an original pic of one in situ, many thanks Chris

Hello Chris. Your bike 'should' have a flat plate on the upper right of the NS rear pillion footrest frame loop. The correct brake switch fitted when new would've been a Lucas 22B (Lucas part no. LU31383) with a spring (BSA part no. 65-9235) attached to the switch and to the brake pedal via a link plate (BSA no. 42-9027) pivoting on the brake rod attachment to the pedal. The switch attachment screws BSA used were 2 off 2BA x 3/8" (02-1309) with shakeproof washers (29-3319) and 2BA nuts (02-0047). HTH
