Can anyone suggest a source for the footbrake return spring? Also I'd appreciate a clear side view photo of the rear mudguard mounting brackets where the stays attach.
Thanks in anticipation!

If you go to Andy Tiernan's website and do a 'find on page' on his archive page, for stock no. 5980 1936 B2, you will see what I think you are looking for.
A lot of B2's have the wrong mudguards, but I think this one is original, although it has a 1933 engine.
The return springs 29-7285 do turn up every now and then, but in the meantime Dynamo Dunn has a similar spring, item no. 225768394138.
I believe it's for a Sloper, but you may be able to adapt it to fit?
He has other similar springs, but they're rather more expensive.

Tiernan's always has good reference photos for bikes. I found good pictures for the B2 at the link below. Strangely, it's a Japanese clothing website, but the pictures are a good reference for a side on view of the B2.

I would offer to take pictures of mine, but I'm unsure if they're quite right. I think I'm missing something with mine, but can't quite work it out.

Many thanks, both. The rear mudguard itself is original,  but has been repaired and various holes filled,  so I want to get the lugs for the stays in exactly the right place so a carrier can be fitted.

Keep us updated what you find. I'd like to do exactly the same with mine, but can't quite work it out. I have too much fun riding it rather than taking it apart to sort it out, but now winter is coming it might be the time.

I will let you know when it's sorted. As an aside, can anyone confirm the number of drive sprocket teeth on the magdyno ( not Maglita) version, and the chain size? Thanks in advance.
