If your handy with a lathe bolt heads are easily converted to countersunk with the addition of a screw driver slot.

ive already thought about turning some but they'd need torquing and a slot wouldnt do

Sorry, I misread your post. I don't get out much but I've never seen a countersunk bolt on a BSA, although no doubt Japan used them.
You could turn some up from hexagon bar in a lathe, but if you must use a Torque Wrench, you could use a slotted screw with a 1/2" drive slotted screwdriver bit. I might use a machine screw and tighten it by feel, but maybe it needs high torque?

its for a plate to cover the handle bar mounts on the top yoke. needs to be a bit tight

i dont want high bars but i want the bars i have a little higher

i have a dinky set of risers but they have a 12mm cente bolt and the 'stem' is 1" so would interfere with the bolts for the plate.

its easy to get riser extensions but they're a bit meaty.

i'm tempted to use a set of harley risers at 3 1/2 centres but that seems to lack imagination and everyone would know.

the cogs are still turning

decided to make my own...pretty obvious...too obvious. i have some long 5/16 unc csk bolts that are only part threaded. cut off the threaded bit and just thread it up again

too easy. why was i giung round the houses making it hard for myself
