Advice - A50 spent 6 weeks stuck in garage!

After someone tried to break into my garage (they failed) the door was damaged and could not be opened.  We rent our property & have a great landlord.  However due to delays in getting a new door made it has now been 6 weeks since I have been able to access my 1969 Royal Star.  New door was finally fitted yesterday.
My concern is that the oil may have settled & not be everywhere it should be.  I have a valve added to the bike to stop oil fully settling if leaving unused for any considerable lengths of time but obviously was unable to use it in this instance.
I do not want to just fire her up & risk damage - any advice on how to proceed.  Will kicking her over but not starting her redistribute the oil?  Should I start the bike and just gently let her tick over for a while?
Many thanks for any advice.

Hi Lurcher,

Is there still some oil in the oil tank or has it all drained in to the sump?
If the tank is just about empty then starting it could prove difficult and it would take forever to pump it back to the tank just by using the kick start with plugs removed.  You could consider draining the sump and topping up the tank with fresh oil and then just turn the engine over several time to get the oil circulating. If your bike has the oil light fitted, turn the engine over until this light goes off.  This will indicate that there is some pressure and that it is safe to start the engine.  It will not be until the engine is started and oil is flung about that other parts will get lubricated.
At tick over there is minimal pressure and minimal flow so not much oil gets flung about by the crank so it is better to not let the engine idle from the off.  Hold the throttle at about 1/4 open for about a minute and check that oil is returning to the tank.  Also, to ensure the oil is getting to the rockers briefly put you finger over the return hole in the tank to force a bit more oil up there.

What a great bit of advice, something I will do on my RS, every day a school day!! Thanks, Iwan  ;)

Thanks for the advice - I will check the oil tank level tomorrow & if it has all drained into the sump I will empty from the sump & refill.

Checked oil level & was low, it has largely drained down into the sump I guess.  Seeing as it's spring & I want to get her ready for the summer best solution is oil change & new filter so will go down that route.  Once again many thanks for the advice.
