BSA Lightning Clubman JFS 812E

Hello everyone,

New to the forums.

Recent passing of my Dad has left me with his small grouping of motorbikes.

One of these is a Lightning Clubman which had the original registration JFS 812E.

He acquired this late 1990's.

Out of curiosity Im trying to find out the history of this bike so was wondering if anybody had ownership of this during its lifetime.

My Dad told me that he did some investigations way back and was told it was raced prior to being road registered and initial delivery was to Alexanders in Glasgow January 1966.

we do have the certificate from the BSA Owners Club confirming the dating and details.

Really interested to hear if anybody knows anything regarding this bike.
