1971 A65 American spec tank pin stripe colour

Well... Here it is for the time being. Many thanks to you all for your advice especially Allan who sent loads of brilliant stuff.

Only problem is.....I don't like it. The colour came out darker than I hoped because I had a few splatters on the final coat, then had to sand them back and add a further coat. I can live with that but the orange line is too much I think. I sprayed it in the end and I think it's too bright.
I'm going to mull it over for a few days but I think I'm going to sand out the line and repaint it either in the bronze or black like the Thunderbolt.
Hmm not sure. I haven't lacquered it yet so alterations are possible.

It looks fantastic Glenn,

Don't forget the colour will appear lighter when the clear coat is applied. I would avoid lacquering over the stripe as that will effect the colour of that too.
