Looking at my recently acquired B31 which has been unused for 11 years and stored in damp conditions, I find the exhaust valve is stuck open. Is there a dodge to free it or is it a head off job?
The parts list shows that the valves have caps fitted on the rocker end, part numbers 31-103 and 65-209. Its not obvious on mine that it has them. Should it, and are they a loose fit?

the caps fit over the end of the valve stem and are a push fit. I believe they are necessary tas the valve stems are not hardened and they also contribute to the valve - rocker geometry.
Draganfly should have them.

Interesting re valve caps I have never used them in 50 plus years.

Only on the B31, the B33 doesn't have them. Neither does the alloy B32A but the valve stems are longer.

They are not shown at all for the B33 in the parts lists up to 1953 ?? but are shown from 1954 on with the introduction of the s/a models and big fin engines.
