Hello, just wondering if anyone knows where I can buy the dynamo belt conversion kit? Dynamo Regulators Ltd no longer offer it.
Recently bought an A10 and I am in the process of switching it over to 12v -ve earth with a new regulator, battery and LED lights. I was checking the dynamo, only to find the chain had come off!!
Managed to get the sprocket off and replace the chain. It was so loose I've decided to go with a belt conversion, if I can find one!
Thanks for any help if it can be offered.

Just come back in from the garage after reconnecting the chain and checking the output of the dynamo by connecting together the yellow and green wires together and starting the bike to find the output is 0.05V!! Anyone know the best place to find a replacement Dynamo?

He's a top bloke is Andrew. What he doesn't know about A10's isn't worth knowing. Only about 20 miles from me. Don't just turn up at his place, make an appointment.

Thanks for all the help, just tried to call Andrew, but he is out. Will try again later. So useful to have someone just down the road. The A10 is my first Classic, so finding my feet!!

My A10 is my first old Brit. Mine is a swinging arm model from 1960. What year and model is yours?

Just been to see Andrew, what a nice bloke and what a great set up he's got. Dynamo now booked in for a 12v conversion.
It's a 1958 Golden Flash. I bought it as fully restored, but I am now finding out just how restored it was!! A learning curve, but with Andrew down the road I feel a lot more comfortable.

Mine had no restoration and it was a polished turd, nothing else to describe it. If you need a hand give us a shout as i feel i could take anything on now, i live in Haslington.
Andrew is going to rewire a dynamo for me too so that when i'm plodding around town the battery will still be getting charged. It charges with the original dynamo which i know because it put a multimeter across the battery terminals and gave it a few revs and was showing 13v but for peace of mind i'm getting one rewound.
Yes he is a nice bloke. I think with the spares he stocks he could probably rebuild another 3 A7's and A10's.
