best place for engine and clutch parts

Take the clutch apart and check for notches on the slots
on the clutch basket. File to restore. Are the plates flat. Make sure that the pressure plate is lifting squarely. As said it can be made to work well. If all else fails and you have the money go for a four spring clutch but around £400 plus.

Hi,

I suppose an assessment of what you have is sensible.  Unless most of the parts are in good condition it will be surprising how much the cost of parts can mount up to.  Even then you are fitting new and supposedly good parts in warn parts.

Hi, I have now purchased and fitted my new four spring clutch and have to say, I thought for the hassle it has saved me sourcing replacement 6 spring bits and from what looks like a good quality item with rubber cush drive, bolt straight on replacement I am happy at £400. With the stuff I have left I can use on another single in bits waiting for its turn on the bench.
