Hi Folks. New member here. Just bought myself a 1965 C15 project for the winter. Quite a lot to do. The first of the many jobs is to get the frame sorted as it has been somewhat hacked about. The rear footrest hanger rails have been chopped off so I need to weld on some replacements. I am hoping some helpful soul out there would be so kind as to measure the rails from the end of the bottom casting to the centre of the footrest mounting hole? If you could also measure the side stand mounting position and the rough angle at which it is attached that would be a great help. Thanks in advance

There is a scale drawing of the C15 frame in Rupert Ratio Vol. 2. From that drawing, the length of the rear footrest tube from the casting to the centre of the footrest mounting hole is 7 3/4". The sidestand casting is brazed on halfway along the footrest tube, more or less. I would be happy to confirm the measurements tomorrow afternoon on my C15.

The sidestand angle is a bit more problematic because, over time, it will almost certainly have increased due to either the footrest tube or the casting twisting since the arrangement was not that strong. The angle of the sidestand on my C15 makes it very difficult to use. If I was to guess, I think you need to make the angle about 60 deg from the vertical if not slightly steeper.

On my spare C15 frame, the rear footrest tube measures 7 3/8" from the the frame bracket to the centre of the footrest hole. The footrest tube is 7" long and the sidestand bracket is exactly halfway along the tube.
