Bsa b33 1950 breather

Should the breather on the timing cover make a very loud clicking noise,the fibre  washer  working up and down making the noise, or is this normal?

Not on my B33 or M33, no noise at all.

Thanks for the reply,may be it is worn ,sometimes it sticks and then all quite?
