Hello everyone. Does anybody know where I can source a wiring harness with the woven cotton outer layers as per original for a Y13 or a pattern for one or even just the wiring diagram  ?   Bruce at Bygone Spares And Restorations could make one he said if he had a pattern or wiring diagram for that model of bikes .

Hi Anthony, Attached is a copy of the wiring diagram I used to re-wire my 1937 Y13. I didn't get a loom made. I used readily available coloured wires 5 & 10 amp and did it myself. It isn't that difficult. Hope this helps.

Hi Anthony, attached is a better copy of the wiring diagram without my scribbled notes. Regards Alan

Oops something went wrong so another attempt to send pristine wiring diagram

Hi Alan ,  thanks very much.  I forgot to state that my Y13 is a 36 model which probably has the earlier generator which doesn't require a regulator.  I'll check which generator it has when I get home in a couple of days .

Hi Alan,  this bike still has the earlier generator fitted so no regulator wiring required.
Anyway I've decided to sell this bike. Would you know the approximate market value of it there in the U.K ?  With the exchange rate the way it is it may be feasible for a  U.K buyer . The bikes condition is not asthetically perfect , the chrome on the wheels is rusted and the fuel tank is not quite perfect. Engine runs sweet , quiet and no smoke.  I'll attach a couple of photos today .

Hi Alan,  photo attached.

Hi Anthony, I am not qualified to give you a valuation. This BSA model rarely comes up for sale as there are not many left. The last Y13 sold at auction fetched £23,000. Yours looks very smart, correct toolboxes & silencers,. Have you completed the wiring? I don't think you should sell it for less than £20,000. Hope this helps.

Hi Alan .  I haven't made up or sourced a harness yet . I'll advertise it as is .  Thanks very much for your time and advice.
Best regards,
Anthony
