Hi all.
I've stripped and rebuilt my engine trying to make it oil tight. I replaced the o ring on valve lifter shaft. Now on putting it back together, I'm not sure about the correct position of the cam in relation to the rocker and the actuator lever.
Does anyone know of the correct procedure? or any links to suitable information.
Thanks in anticipation.

AFAIK, you turn the engine over until the exhaust rocker arm is in it's nearest position to the lifter cam face . You now make sure the lifter cam face is NOT in contact with the rocker arm but as close as possible (perhaps use a feeler gauge to do this), then fit the arm at the nearest to 12 o'clock position (depending on what the splines will allow). Then follow the attached B50 setup info, but should be the same for B44.  After all adjustments, make sure the rocker and cam still don't make contact!! HTH

Thanks for the information Ian.

Does anyone know what is the size of the thread on the valve lifter cam? I thought it was 1/4, 26tpi cycle thread  but it not.
