More problems!!!!

Just been out for a ride and got back to find the left foot rest has been pressing on the rear brake lever and put the brake on. I knew the splines were  worn but awhile ago, tack welded the parts in position but it looks like I am going to need 'new' foot rest assembly.

First problem with this is that there are (on Draganfly) 3 different part numbers for the left and right foot rests and left spacer. Any one know the definitive part No's I need for 1959 S/A A10?  Right spacer appears to be common throughout thee range.

Is there any method of beefing up the splines to save me getting 'new' bits? Something like PTFE tape

Can the splines be re profiled?

Thanks

Spaceman

According to the 1959 parts book, LH footrest is 42-4854 with distance piece 42-4857. However, if the splines on the distance piece are too badly worn, I don't think there is much you can do to restore their function even with a new footrest. Provided you were confident that the footrest was in the right position and would never need to be adjusted, I would personally just weld it on.

Thanks for the part numbers Spaceman. Can you give me the part numbers for the right foot rest and spacer please. Many thanks.

RH footrest and spacer are 42-4804 and 42-4806

Sorry, just noticed that I mis-typed the previous part number that should have been 42-4557 and not 42-4857.

Thanks for the RH Nos.
Good job I didn't order the left hand bits. Lol.
