Thanks everyone, the surface rust doesn't look to bad, not the sort that would be causing pin holes I'd have thought. If I could get the dent sorted I could live with the chrome and the paintwork is going to be black so no matching problems so it looks like get the dent sorted first then derust and seal then paint,thanks all for your input, anyone know a dent removed in the Birmingham/ Midlands area? I've got most of my chroming done at Marque Restore in Coventry. When I restored my A65 tank, they used a local man at the time who provided a dent removal service and also a tank painting service - he removed the dents from my tank before they re-chromed it. This was a few years ago but you could always phone them and see whether this guy is still around..
