Gear shifting

Hi guys
This 1967 a65 I've got just been for a spin and can't engage third or fourth, I can engage with engine off and stationary , but if engine tuning it won't engage, I've had it apart and fitted new plungers to my selector, and filed the selector plate, it seems as if the gear selector isn't engaging properly

Morning Spike seems odd, i had this on third and fourth after i put the gearbox all back in the engine case, i kept removing it several times and checking wear etc , then it just worked and has been good since. i never found anything untoward

Yes been apart twice but nothing obvious, I've ordered a new selector and plunger hoping that will do
