Hello again.  My recent B31 purchase came without a battery.  I would like to use a modern AGM battery that would fit into the battery carrier as the original lead acid battery did. Any suggestions/recommendations gratefully received.
After draining the crankcase of 1.5 lts of black oil, cleaning the carburetor, rigging up a temporary fuel supply etc, started 2nd kick.  I love these old thumpers.

Yes I second the Cyclon battery. I put two together on my BSA B31 last year and they are still fully charged up after standing over winter.

Hi.

Lucas offer a thick rubber case to replicate the original. I bought one and have been pleased with it. My original straps fit fine. If you cant find one let me know I have the box it came in somewhere.

Paul Goff has a selection of batteries and cases.

Hello all.  Many thanks for all of your suggestions.  I settled for the Cyclon type from Pride and Clark.   Is that the same Pride and Clark that I remember from my '50s riding days????

Hi,
If they are cheaper at Pride and Clarke than the links I posted can I have their web address?

Best wishes...
