B31 276 Carb

Hi

Just out of interest what 276 model should be on my B31, I have forgotten what I have, I think it is a 1", also what model of Smiths speedometer did the pre 50s B31 use, sorry 2 questions in one chaps.

Hi,

The carb should be a 1" 276/AW /DR or /GC up to 1955.  After that it was changed to a 376 series.
Not sure about the speedo.

 Smiths Chronometric S.433/1/L according to the data but mine's an S.433/3/L and i think its the original on my B31 1949
According to the adverts at the time they were an optional extra for £5 as not fitted standard.
