Managed to cobble together some brackets and solder them in place.... Needs tidying up but It seems to have done the trick.....


Time will tell.

Not many companies have the correct alloy cap (8083), but it is listed by Draganfly. Unfortunately they are currently out of stock.

Thanks for all your suggestions and advice folks.....

I've kinda sorted the hinge thanks to you.

I now need to sort out the top 'holdie down rubber thingie', (I know all the technical jargon) which looks like it might be a rubber sleeve that expands when tightened down (a bit Rawlplug like... )

Then comes the final part- spraying it Gold...... (looking forwards to that... not)
