Exhaust leak

Can anyone suggest a suitable sealant for a leak from the exhaust pipe on my C15? The leak is where the pipe push fits into the cylinder. Cheers.

Dependinf on the fit.

You could try wrapping the pipe with PTFE tape.

You could try a high temperature silicone such as Loctite 5920 on its own or with PTFE tape.

You could try a simple exhaust sealant such as Halfords on its own or with PTFE tape.

I use the latter successfully on my A10, applied to the pipe rather than the port to avoid getting the product in the engine.

Once again, thanks Julian. I don't think PTFE tape will fit but I will get some high temp sealant.
