Recommended coil for B25 Starfire

I have just fitted a Wassell electronic ignition to my Starfire, the original coil was a Lucas standard item. it sparks excessively and backfires as soon as you touch the kick start, I have tried a  VW  coil which I get similar symptoms. I have been looking on line for a Wassell ww19376 which is recommended by Wassell, I haven't been able to find any for sale on line. Has anyone fitted an alternative coil that they would recommend. Any advice would be very much appreciated.
