1950-1956 Gold Star 350cc and 500cc How many made by BSA? Each year and each cc

I am looking for information on how many BSA Gold Stars were made by BSA each year from 1950 to 1956?  I need the info for for both the 350cc bikes and 500cc bikes.

I am interested in this information because I want to do Land Speed Racing at the Bonneville Salt Flats and El Mirage.  I want to run in the Production, Pushrod, Vintage (pre-1956) class.  I need to be able to show a minimum of 500 bikes built of the type I am racing (Gold Star), otherwise I will have to start with a regular B31, B32, B33, B34, etc.

I also need this info to decide on which bike to buy.  Anybody have any suitable bikes within 1500 miles of California, USA?  Looking for a pretty nice, correct bike.

Any books out there with this documentation?  Unable to find any so far.
