Starting a project

Hi, I'm in the run up to retirement and want a project. My uncle was a huge BSA addict and owned a 250 bantam and 650 thunderbolt before sadly passing.. I would like to put something together that looks like this picture. might be a big task for a first one, but go big or go home as they say. firstly, what is it? apart from stunning; secondly, I know I couldn't afford this bike, so what would be a good model to build a rep of this on? any help would be greatly appreciated, as I want to start putting things in place for my retirement. thanks.

Its a bsa gold star with quite a few nice xtras . Got something similar this is a DB 500 Gold star from 1955 . I would think your picture would be a DBD Gold star of about 1960 .
