Hi
For a 1962 A50 376 monobloc
If possible can anyone provide me with the original set up information - mainjet - pilot jet - needle - Slider sizes?
Because my current 376 monobloc is continually running rich - At The top end the bike runs fine - at tickover it struggles
Are there different sizes of mixture screw?

I have a concentric carb - would that be the better option?
If so - can you give me the base settings - jet sizes for that carb too?

Thank you in advance
Regards
Ian

The information that Bess has given is correct for a 1962 A50 the only other addition is the needle position which is 3 that is the third groove from the top. Other things can influence the set up such as worn parts in the carb this needs to be looked at, as far as I am aware the mixture screws are all the same but they can wear along with the needle and the slides. A partially blocked pilot jet would give symtons that you are having.

Thank you so much for your prompt replies - I will check what sizes are installed - adjust if necessary and give the pilot jet a good check & clean

Hi blackeyeian,
I've just borrowed the current Amal carb handbook off a friend today to check over my A50 Star.....
If you need to use the Concentric it gives 1968 Royal Star settings as;
26mm carb
200 main jet
pilot jet 25
needle jet 106
slide 3.5
needle position 2
I'd expect that's with the pancake filter.

Cheers
