Back in February I proposed trying to put an hydraulic front brake on my A50. Intending to use the rear brake system from a Reliant (The reason for this was that they don't get much simpler) only problem Reliant is only 7" whereas A50 is 8" drum so obtained A7/A10 wheel.

I now have a working hydraulic brake. It is however not Beesa pretty. It could be made so but would require a complete rebuild.

Starting from scratch I made some errors. Right from square one when I chose the wrong side brake plate. After that the errors were fairly simple. It was generally a case of 'offering up' a bit more fettling and try again.

It works well.

The pipe was made by Lee at Fastrikes in Andover. Incidently Fastrikes Website is worth a look they are Raffling an 1100 Virago trike for charity. Couple of quid a ticket???
