Electrex World ignition, vs Pazon and stuff

Hi,
I am getting close to sorting the ignition system on my Spitfire and as it looks as though the alternator and rotor are of doubtful serviceability, the Electrex World complete kit looks cheaper than replacements, plus new coils and regulator, plus a Pazon kit.

Any useful experience and advice out there on the EW kit or alternatives?

Or how would an ignorant peasant like me test the old alternator, rotor etc?

Thanks

Alastair

Hi,
This may help, the attachment  :) ...

Best wishes...

Thanks for this but it seems to require me being able to run the engine for most tests and that would require me to solve the problem first. However will keep for future reference. Thank you

Alastair

PS haven't fully sorted the Latin yet but perhaps the autocorrect has done some minor adjusting as it did to my offering...
but having fun trying to make sense of it.
One possibility Is there not by your fortune a great yellow file? How am I doing?

All things considered, including various posting elsewhere, costs and the uncertainty about my alternator, I have gone with the electrex world stuff. Looks good and seems to work well for other folks.

Thanks for the collective wisdom.
