These late BSA side panels bolt on to the air box assembly. These bolts were covered by a black grommet on the outer side of the cover. Looked everywhere, Dragonfly don't even show them on the parts list. Nothing like it for sale on ebay. A part number would be a start. Many thanks.  :(

Is this the one?

68 8367.

If not then there are hundreds of different grommets for ale on Ebay soyou should be able to find one which fits.

Hi Julian. Thanks for reply, not those one; I got those new on ebay. It is the grommet that covers the nut of the aluminium cover in front of that one. It is not shown at all on their parts list. It does make the bike look tidy.

The illustration from the 1971 brochure shows a plain nut no grommet, if I am thinking of the right place.

OIF Triumphs list a "Rubber plug air cleaner cover" as part 60 4152, the through bolt and nut are the same part as A65 so maybe it will fit?

£4.50 each!!!!! Crikey, someone is taking the rise!
These are the sort of product stuck in the end of Tubular furniture. Take a look at www.bpfonline.co.uk. They do these in Black, grey or white and a 22mm ones for example is 31 pence each including vat. OK, they are not rubber, but are durable and will do the job!
I have got some on the Thunderbolt. I had a scary moment last year when I came to remove the cover, I found black grommets in the holes. Now I have never fitted any of these in the 13 years of ownership so I thought I was going mad!! I then read in the Wiltshire Branch notes that Pete (Wiltshire Branch Chairman) had been to Popham Megameet and whilst there purchased some of the grommets for his own Lightning. As he bought a bag of 10 for pennies, he kindly adorned 2 other OIF machines with some. Mine was one of those lucky machines. Phew! I cancelled the appointment with the Psychiatrist with great relief!

Found them on Feked £1.50 each, they also fit the adjustment hole on the front conical hub. Yippee .
