Anyone know the exact dimensions of this bush so I can check if mine needs replacing....

                      Thanks in advance Pete.

I am not sure which bush you are referring too?

In the primary side or final drive side?

Bradshaw

Morning, the primary side, the bronze one that looks like a top at and sits in the middle of the clutch.

surely , if there is any wobble or slight play is the time to look at it.
is the clutch operating correctly , got the correct sae 40 in the chaincase?

My two penny's worth is if it is all working well and there is no issues when pulling the clutch in then leave it alone.
However if you are in the middle of a rebuild I would firstly check the thickness of the friction plates and see if they need replacement, the bush wear you can feel if there is any movement, needs to be ideally a slight friction resistance as you push it in, make sure you oil the bush as you push it in. If you can't feel anything then it's good. Also check the thrust washer that the centre spline/gear rests on is that worn? If doing new plates then I would replace the bush and washer as you don't want to keep draining oil and removing the primary cover.  Also worth checking the free play on the primary chain, it may need replacing if there is more than 3/4" total free movement up and down.
Just done all the above on my D10  ;)

there is no play on the bush when its assembled there is some wobble on the clutch basket. the bite on the clutch is very near the end,Ihave replaced the thrust washer and am running the right oil.
