Hi all. This is my 51 tele rigid. I've tried posting here before, but had zero luck with photos. Here goes...

I've owned Mavis since early '24. She's not perfect, but a lovely example of a machine with a bit of a story. A story largely unknown to me. She might well be described as "an older restoration " and carries the inscription "TH 96" written in the headlamp shell. I believe this is when she was probably restored.
The only other point I know is that her original registration mark was sold in more recent years,and that there were several years where she gained almost no mileage.
Her petrol tank is without paint, and as a result is plain chrome. As a result,  I sometimes call her my poor man's Brough Superior!
I have been gradually working my way around her, getting maintenance attended to. Next up will be inspecting the brakes.
On a good day, she'll start second kick.
Quite possibly one of the nicest bikes I've owned.
