67 hornet Valve guides.

Removed old valve guides and threw them away . not thinking that I would need them again .as you do ! But now I find that the replacements are too long in the ports and as a result hold the valves off the seats .I understand that there are early and later guides and have those that are recommended .If they have to be turned down perhaps someone can shed some light ...Thank you . Just as a matter of interest . Apparently it is not uncommon to have to trim the valve guides on an A65. In this case it was somewhat more than a 'trim' made much easer with a lathe .So all good now !
