DVLA reg

 Just bought a B44 with no documents or number plate  , frame and engine number in tact , is there anyway of finding out if it was ever registered  with the DVLA  I  dont know the reg?  Just joined the club.

The only way you will get further info on your bike is to obtain a dating certificate from the dating officer Steve Foden details on how to do this are on this site. that dating certificate will tell you if the engine and frame were together when they left the factory andthe date it was dispatched and to which dealer he may also be able to tell you when it was first registered and what colour it was. I have used this service a few times and can recommend it.

   If you know someone in the motor trade they can  check if the frame number is registered on the dvla computer, think there are a couple of people on facebook who do this for a fee, free if not found otherwise as bob says you will need a dating  certificate from the dating officer, the website has instructions on how to apply for a logbook from the swansea jokeshop.
