Hi. First time using the forum.
I have a late 1959 A10 Golden Flash. Getting it on the centre stand is harder than my heavier BMW R80RT with full touring luggage.
Does anyone know where I can get a lifting handle ?  To my mind it should attach to the tool box bolt and loop around to attach to the mudguard where the seat bracket attaches. This is the strongest point, and I don't want to drill additional holes in the mudguard. I bought one for another model which doesn't fit.
Has anyone fitted a modified centre stand. To me this seems to be the root of the problem as the machine doesn't roll back onto the stand, (as the BMW does).
Surprised judging by the number of comment I've seen on this subject that none of the parts suppliers have manufactured something.  I have asked some well known suppliers but been met with a blank.
Thanks
Malcolm

Hi Malcolm and welcome to the BSAOC forum.

There was a thread about this very subject not too long ago.  If you put 'centre stand' in the search box you should find the previous discussion.
Also, if you are BSAOC member, there was an article in The Star with a modification to help with getting A10s on to the centre stand.

Have you got the type of stand with an extension (on the LHS) on which you press down with your foot? It makes all the difference!

Good evening,

I have found it!  The article in The Star re centre stand lever.  It is in the April 2017 issue on page 34.  It could do with a bit more detail but a simple idea that should help get A and B swinging arm models on the centre stand.  Twins with siamese pipes OK but twin pipes may need a rethink.
I was bored so had a delve in my Stars.

Dave.
