Front wheel removal

I am attempting to remove the front wheel of my Super Rocket. I have slackened the pinch bolt and the spindle has a round machined end with a hole through it. I have had a toggle bar in but can barely move it. My question is, is it a left hand thread on the spindle??

The 8 inch single sided hub spindle has a 9/16 x 20 tpi left hand thread.
