A65 valve guides

Hi all.

I am looking for some oversize A65 valve guides +010". I have tried a selection of dealers to no avail, Draganfly and Feked and Kidderminster among others.
So anyone able to help or advise I would be very grateful. I am actually considering having A10 guides machined??your opinions on that would be useful.
Or anywhere I can get them made.

Whoa Mike! I ordered a set from SRM for my OIF A65 (different part no. to the pre 1970). They only do the Colsibro ones and they cost about £23 each - yes nearly £100 for a set of guides. Anyway after 2 weeks, they were no where near being done. I spoke to the workshop and they said they were chokka blok with work and couldn't tell me when they would be done so sadly I cancelled.
I got some from Autocycle Engineering, Phosphor Bronze at £13.50 each +Vat British Made. Mind you these are standard not oversize so I'm not sure if they do oversize ones but definitely worth a try. 01384 253030.

Thanks for that. I must admit that the SRM price set me back on my heels for a while. So I'll give that No a try. I can get +006 from USA but they would ten require Knurling and still the cost would be over £75. Anyway I'll just have to keep plugging away at it.

I finally "bit the bullet" and ordered SRM valve guides. Not quite as expensive as I expected cos the list price is inclusive, but still enough. (Actually they are for my son so I'm a bit relieved. I'm only "skiing" that is--spending the kids inheritance)

When I took up the time frame issue the answer is "depends on the workshop but at the mo anything between two days and two or three weeks".

Its been in boxes for at least 6 years since I bought it and passed it on so a few weeks aint gonna make that much difference.

I'll let you know when I get them.
