Which Fuel ?

It is getting close to that time that I hope to fire up my A65 total restoration, bought the engine oil today and will fit all the new oil pipes tomorrow. I will put half a pint of oil down the push rod tubes and hand crank it over to get it circulating. It crossed my mind that I have not considered what fuel or lead supplements I should use. Although my engine is low mileage I don't want to spoil all the hard work and money I have thrown at it. I ran my A10 on basic green fuel till I sold it and never had any short term problems. Any advice would be useful, thanks.

I have run my A65 on super unleaded for the past 5 years with no ill effects. I know its more expensive than standard unleaded but it has a higher Octane rating so suits the 9.5:1 compression better. Also, some makes like Esso didnt used to and still may not use ethanol in this grade so less chance of gumming up etc.

Thanks for that, not worried about fuel expense, just spent a few ££££££ on the bike. Was thinking about valve seats but don't want to gum up the pilot holes with sticky additives.

super unleaded will be your best bet .
