OIF clean out.

I want to wash out my OIF Thunderbolt oil tank section of the frame during my restoration. I was going to pour a gallon of paraffin into tank and let it soak for a few days before dropping the sump off and flushing with hot soapy water. Any better ideas would be appreciated.

I tend to use cycle degreaser and leave it swilling around for a day or so. Did one recently without any problems and then used water pressure from a hose to get rid of any residue. I used a blow heater afterwards to make sure all the water had evaporated.
