Hi,could anyone tell me the front eheel offset for an eight inch single sided wheel please.
Thankyou.

Safest bet is to mount it in the forks with the correct wheel spacer / stepped spindle and brake plane and set the rim to be central in the forks.  There are offset dims but I've found it better to work of the forks with the actual spindle and spacer you have.

Cheers Rob,I'll go that way then.

The A50/A65 Twins workshop manual on the website for models with 8in single sided brake shows 1-15/16in offset from edge of the brake drum to CENTRE of rim (extract attached).  Obviously, the distance from the brake drum edge and the edge of rim will depend on rim width.  I also checked my 1954 B33 with 8in brake - this agrees within 1.5mm (which is well within measurement error!!).

Note the QD rear wheel is central to hub flanges.  Also offset for 190mm Spitfire brake for reference!
