Stator testing

UPDATE:
I got the bike charging!
I traced all the wires from bridge rectifier to ignition /light switch....all fine and in correct terminals.
I then discovered that the wires from stator to bridge rectifier were incorrectly positioned. The previous owner had bullett connectors on the wires from stator going into a 3 wire extension which were all the same colour.
Even though one set of coils is defintely not working , I am getting 6.9v across the battery but only at rpm at >3000.
I will still have to change stator though to get a better charge.
