hi my front forks have started to bang when i go over a bump have changed the oil made no different

idie

Does it do it on compression or rebound.

roger prince

hi  thanks for reply think its on rebound roger

idie

This could be due to clearance between the top bush and the circling
There are shims to take up the clearance.

A bang or clang usually means the bushes are colliding on full extension. A charateristic of the fork design, not much damping when the forks extend, and sometimes mentioned in period road tests. If it is clearance between the top bush and the (nasty hard to get out) cirlip the resultant noise is more like chattering.
