Has anyone fitted a sidecar to a BSA on the right hand side, if so how difficult was it to mount ? did it need additional modifications due the kick starter on the sidecar side?

I have two bikes with sidecars, a Harley and a CJ. Sidecars are wonderful  ;D

Hi Mick,

There will be someone out there who can help as there are many righthand mounted sidecars in Europe.  Watsonian made righthand sidecars so they do fit.  I have never been aware of anyone having a problem with the kickstart but if you wanted a two in to one exhaust it may be difficult to get one that goes on the left side of the bike.  This photo is part of the line up in Norway 1997 with about 6 righthand sidecars in view.  Sorry about the poor quality.  It was pre digital.

Dave.

Thanks Dave , it's good to know it's doable.   It's my plan to ride my new BSA as a solo, but it's nice to know there is a sidecar option should I change my mind later on.
