spin on oil filter

HI all
My a65 has a srm oil pump fitted by the previous owner. Among all the paperwork that came with it was the fitting instructions. It stated not to fit any additional cartridge, etc oil filters as it may impede the oil pressure. Any thoughts on this, folks? Surely if one was fitted on the return side, it won't affect pressure....?

Hi Taffyboy,

We have three high mileage bikes with filters on the return pipe. Two A65s and my wife's '51 Flash.
I think it is important to get a filter that allows full flow so that there is no resistance to the return to the tank.  If you buy as a kit you should get the right filter.  You will then know what to get when you change the oil.
