Is there any way to find the year of maufacture from the frame number

Can anyone help, my A10 is registered Jan 1960, I have talked with DVLA and they say I need to prove it was manufactured before 1960 to be MOT exempt.

Get a dating certificate from the BSAOC which will tell you the date the frame was despatched from the factory.

On BSAOC web site click on "machine dating" and follow the chart.
