Singles / Fitting the later B25 cast iro...

Has anyone fitted the later cast iron pump to their C25/B25/TR25?

The Rupert book makes clear the updating the oil pump to the later cast iron one is recommended - and details the areas where a bit of metal removal is required. The cast iron pump has three studs. I cannot find where the procedure for fitting a third stud is mentioned. Have I just missed it? Or maybe the intention is that the pump is simply secured by the two bottom studs? Or am I looking at the wrong pump?

Thanks

Here are a few more pics of my new acquisition. It has been extensively and no doubt expensively restored, but ridden very little.

After a session riding then fettling then riding again, I'm very pleased with it. It's cosmetically beautiful and mechanically sound. It merely needs minor stuff like adjusting and oiling control cables, tightening the rear chain, tightening the steering head.... Quite a few little jobs that turn it from a pretty and shiny bike to a proper riding machine.

To say I'm pleased is an understatement. Thank you for your advice here when I was merely thinking abiut a B40, this forum is a great resource and a welcoming place!

We are arranging a BSAOC Lincolnshire Branch Gathering on Wednesday 28th October between 12.00- 3.00pm for a general meet-up, discussions and jumble for north and south branch members, guests at Bucknall Village Hall - post code LN10 5DT.  Bring a packed lunch if you wish to use the kitchen facility and any items you would like to offer for rehoming.  Hopefully see you there.

Apart from the incorrect weights given by internet searches the anomalies in handbooks etc.may be caused by wether dry or kerb weight is used. Add a tank of fuel and some oil and about 30lbs may be added to the dry weight.

Dave.

That's true, of course. When I weighed my B40 yesterday it was semi wet! Oil tank was up to the mark but petrol very low.

Bit late to the thread, but might be of use to some - my 71 A65T is now finished in a BMW/Mini BRG colour, ref 895 - which looks to be a good match to the original as far as I can tell.

It's a metallic, so will need a clearcoat on top to get a proper gloss finish.

Question is now irrelevant. The TR25T engine won't fit in the earlier frame. So I will be rebuilding the earlier TR25W engine using the later crank.
