Hi
Can someone clarify what was the original position of the horn on a '68 A50?
Cheers

ps Mine was fixed to the front engine mounting as seen in many pictures on the web, of both A50s and A65s. My question is, was this the original position?
Why I ask is that my horn developed a partial short which I noticed out on a run, when the ammeter gradually rose to around 8-10A charge. When I pulled over, there was smoke rising from the horn and a not so lovely smell of electrical burning. Did the position of the horn close to the hot engine cause something to break down internally, and would resiting to a cooler position be better? Suggestions would be welcome. A replacement horn is on order.
Cheers
