Could anyone tell me, from the photograph, which wires are likely to be for the front indicators.

If you google BSA A65 Wiring diagram there are loads to view, the green Lucas one is quite good.
The OIF indicator wires from the Lucas switch and in the original loom were green with white trace (RH side) and green with red trace (LH). Wire colour on actual indicator could be black or maybe green but not important.. HTH

The late 1970 A50 and A65 had the GR and GW embedded in the loom. However, they missed out the Light Green for the feed from the flasher unit to the switch which is a shame.
Check out April '95 Star in the members area for wiring colours. I've printed it off and pinned it on the board in the garage.
I can only see back to 2017.

I've been fiddling around trying to edit the original Star doc to no avail, so I've resorted to good old fashioned means with a photo of the printoff in the garage.
