Post by: CLIVEDACKUS on 25 Aug, 2020, 15:28
Can anyone tell me how long the stems should be on the front/rear indicators please?

Are they standard Lucas ones as I have some on my 75 Trident, so could measure tomorrow if you wish?

I'll measure the ones on my 72 B50T as they should be the same.

Measurements taken from body of indicator to body of headlamp or rear light housing. Both measured 69mm. HTH.

I  think i'm going to find that everyones are different. My bike has lang stalks at back, short at front.

Hi,

I think the Lucas indicators came with two stem lengths.  Short to go in the headlight and serve as the bolt and the longer ones from the rear light support to set them out from the number plate.  Paul Goff lists the two lengths.

Mine are on a one owner B50T and I've no reason to doubt that they have been altered or changed. They could have been different lengths on the SS model but this would be subject to finding another unaltered bike..
