Hello,
Does anyone have a simple, easy to follow diagram which shows how to connect the wiring for indicators.
I will probably get Lucas unless anyone knows of better and readily available ones.
Simple diagrams please, the type a Joiner can understand.
I wish bikes were made of wood, I would have no problems at all !!
Thank
You, Steven
I fitted lucas pattern with 3" stems to my A50 last year with leds. You're first decisions are whether you'll be using leds or not, and positioning of the warning light and actual indicators. The front ones can be easily fitted tp the front fork sleeve behind the headlamp bolt and after much deliberation I fitted the rears to the lug on the rear handrail. You'll find that the lights will not point directly to the rear so a wedge shaped spacer is needed to line them up. I got most parts from Paul Goff and there're wiring diagrams on his site. I can send you pics is its a help.
Google " motorcycle indicator circuit diagram " Go on Paul Goff's site, simple on on there.
Hi,
First image is a simple arrangement, I haven't put the battery polarity on as your bike might be pos or neg earth.
Out of interest the second image is a A65 wiring diagram I designed :).
Best wishes...
Thank you Bess.
That is just what I was hoping for.
Regards, Steven
Extremely useful - I know a lot of folk who have fitted the electric eel the wrong way round.
I do wonder though if the smoke container is sufficiently large - at least for my BSAs...?
Cheers,
Bernie
:) ;)
It might be worth considering LED indicator bulbs, as I fitted to my Velocette Venom. (mind you will need to use the appropriate, low current, relay...)
There was an item re fitting indicators in the Nov '97 Star. Have a look in the back copies in the members area.
