Post by: stuart smee on 14 Aug, 2020, 02:23
Hello, can any one out there identify what the oil line in pics has been fitted for

Good morning/afternoon Stuart,

This looks like an end feed conversion using a flexible pipe rather than a piece welded on.  The lower end of the pipe with the sealant goes in is close to where the drilling is made for tapping in to the oil supply and the other fitted end is definitely attached where the end of the crank is.
Are you able to ask the previous owner re end feed conversion?  If not then you will have to take the timing case off to see the seal, bearing and quill in the end of the crank.  If the engine is running well then another option is to leave it alone and assume and end feed conversion.

Dave.
